Shalom of Hope Foundation of Kansas City
Why Is Education Important? Educating children living in war zones or in poor communities in the world empowers them to break the cycle of war and build a culture of peace. By donating through Shalom Of Hope Foundation, you change a student’s life and give their entire family a chance to prosper.
You can help kids stay healthy and thrive. Where extreme poverty exists, pregnant women and children under 5 are dying too often, simply because they don’t have access to the most basic health information, care, and nutrition. In 2020, more than 13,700 children under 5 died every day — most from preventable causes like diarrhea, pneumonia, birth complications, malaria, and various infectious diseases.
Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) damages patients’ normal physiological functioning, thus putting them in a difficult life and economic situation. Social discrimination causes people living with HIV/AIDS to suffer from difficulties in interpersonal relationships and social environments. For patients whose early symptoms were not obvious, their psychological impact was far greater than their physical pain [1]. Therefore, people living with HIV/AIDS not only require effective treatment to alleviate their physical discomfort but also require social support to help them solve their life difficulties and relieve their psychological anxiety and uneasiness.
Our mission is to accelerate cures for kidney cancer. We engage in patient advocacy and power research by supporting government and industry research funding, facilitating research collaborations, and offering direct financial support for clinical and laboratory researchers with promising ideas. Together, we can find the cure. We’re fighting for kidney equity in kidney disease. Everyone deserves to be as healthy as they can, no matter where they live, what language they speak or the color of their skin. But in kidney disease, race and ethnicity play a significant role and we are working to change that.
Malaria is one of oldest and deadliest diseases, devastating families, communities, and countries. Yet we have the tools to end malaria in a generation. This is why we are putting all our energy into making malaria no more. Malaria keeps families and communities from prospering. By sustaining investments in ending malaria and improving health, we can unlock economic growth and human potential. Malaria-free countries have 5x greater economic growth than countries with malaria. A 10% decrease in malaria has been associated with a .3% rise in GDP.3 Every $1 invested in malaria control in Africa returns $40 in economic growth, contributing to Africa’s prosperity and its prospects as a trading partner.
Building a Better Financial Future for People with Disabilities & Their Families. We are the first nonprofit organization committed exclusively to financial education & empowerment for people with disabilities. One in four people with disabilities live in poverty and face barriers that hinder their access to employment, education, skills development, financial services and full participation in their communities. We envision a society in which people with disabilities have the same opportunities to achieve financial stability and independence as people without disabilities. Policies, expectations and services must change to improve the lives of people with disabilities living in poverty. We are leading that change.
